Area Sales Engineer- Process Valves and Actuation
A fantastic Area Sales Engineer position has arisen within a leading independent Process Valve and Actuation supplier.
The company specialise in selling a range of Industrial Valves, Actuation and Process Equipment into a variety of industries including food processing, water and waste, HVAC, Petro chemical and many more.
SALARY: £30,000 - £35,000

LOCATION: This is 60% Office based and 40% Field based covering the South of England (Territory below a straight line from Gloucester to Gravesend).
This role is a mixture of both new business and account management. You will be expected to self-generate your own leads via canvassing, referrals and attending trade shows as well as looking to nurture and grow a range of inherited accounts. Focus of sales will be based around our core products which will be centred on 3 main brands of manufacture within the industry.
Working from our office based near Royal Tunbridge Wells in Kent, you will be expected to spend approximately 2 days a week making contact and visiting new and existing clients. The remaining 3 days will be in the office carrying out administrative tasks and quoting clients based on the leads that you have generated.
A highly consultative sales approach is required, and you will need to maintain regular contact with existing clients and identify opportunities to upsell and increase the spending on these accounts.
To be successful, you will have at least 3 years proven field sales experience of selling mechanical engineering components such as Valves, actuators, pneumatics and hydraulics.
You will be highly articulate, well presented and technically minded with the ability to work within a small team as well as independently with a high level of motivation. You must have a full UK driving licence.
