SSHE Advisor   (Safety, Security, Health and Environment) Advisor  (12 month Fixed Term Contract)

To provide support as part of the SSHE team to all company activities ensuring the safety and health of employees and protection of the environment, including compliance with legislation, company policy and best practice.

To support company compliance with ISO14001:2015 by monitoring key activities falling under the remit of the Environmental Management System.

To participate in incident investigations and to contribute to root cause analysis. To collate, organise and present data.

To assist the SSHE Team and Operations Director in identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective measures with regards to health, safety and environmental performance.

To assist in the administration of training and its development as part of routine operations and targeted campaigns

Critical Activities under SIGO(A 14-part safety control system that effectively protects the health and safety of staff, contractors and other key stakeholders. SIGO provides an expansive health and safety umbrella, including the coordination of personnel training, management of the laboratory & QCC records, and conducting of incident investigation and maintenance - all whilst lowering the environmental impact at every stage of the business) or ISO9001/ISO14001


A degree in environmental sciences, environment and business or another relevant topic – preferably in the chemical industry.

National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety

Good knowledge of relevant UK and European Safety Legislation preferred
