Software development company that produces a lean manufacturing execution system for all types of manufacturing industries. We work closely with customers and their shop floors to provide a simple, standardized approach to high variety, highly complex assemblies.

The successful candidate will bring manufacturing experience to our team in a Customer Technical Support role.

We are looking for an enthusiastic employee to support our customers' technical requirements. Our projects require learning about our customers' industry and manufacturing styles, followed by designing and implementing a suitable software configuration for their needs.

Key Duties

Working with our customers on the installation, configuration and maintenance of software and associated hardware (remote, virtual and cloud servers).

You will be responsible for database backups, maintenance, indexing, fallover and disaster recovery for our cloud servers, as well as creating user-facing documentation and training material.

You will be required to learn our product and address Helpdesk tickets as they come in.

There will be the opportunity to grow into a product specialist and trainer or technical support specialist.

Knowledge and Skills Specification

Essential:            

Degree or certificate in Manufacturing Engineering or similar discipline

Experience or knowledge of manufacturing environments

Appreciation of the implications of implementing information systems e.g. culture and change management

Desirable:           

Experience or interest in Information Technology or Computer Sciences

Experience with Microsoft Azure/Amazon Web Services/other cloud-based systems

Experience in network and/or server maintenance

Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server
