Lead Machine Operator. £30k - £35k+ OT.

      Well established and busy, our client is looking for a Lead engineer / operator to join their expanding manufacturing business. The role is hands on and will require a mechanically minded person (or multi-skilled) - fixing any issues with production equipment as they occur, resolving them to ensure downtime is kept to a minimum. We have some Heiber and Schroeder machines - Jagenberg, Omega and Signature are similar, so you should adapt quickly with minimal training. Window patching  / multi-fold gluers experience is also of interest - these are similar style machines and require a similar skill set (Kohmann, Digistar). Training can be provided. You will also lead and mentor junior members of the team. You will also be required to complete reactive, or planned maintenance, including fault finding, assisting with smooth changeovers, and also working on process and system improvement projects across the production lines.

Hours are: Monday to Friday; 6 am to 4.30 pm with OverTime after 40 hours per week. Plenty of OverTime is available - roughly 20 hours per week. Some flexibility will be needed depending on the business requirements. There are good additional benefits. Salary is negotiable dependant on relevant experience.
