NPI Engineer - Marking Materials. £40k - £45k Neg + Bonus.

     An exciting opportunity to join a market leading UK manufacturer. Ideally you will have experience of process industry manufacturing, and some experience of ink / coatings / fluids / marking materials / adhesives manufacturing would be an advantage.  This key role is to work with the development and operations teams on new products, liaising between the suppliers, internal teams and the development team to ensure 'design for manufacture' and 'Right First Time' levels.

    Duties will include designing and optimising the manufacturing process and requirements for the new product including agreement on process parameters such as equipment type, mixing times, weighing accuracy, batch size and packaging method. Also: lead and take part in Design and Process FMEA's; approve Bills of Material and component specifications; management of Product cost to target; ensure timely completion in line with gateway reviews.

    Ideally you will have an honours degree or equivalent (i.e. recognised status by a professional institute) preferably in manufacturing, quality or production engineering, with at least five years experience in a manufacturing environment.  Ideally you will have experience of process industry manufacturing and particular experience of ink / coatings manufacturing would be an advantage.  Six sigma appreciation / accreditation will be an advantage.

    Flexibility on travel is required as there will be strong liaison between Liverpool and London.
