Systems Engineer. £40k - £50k + Bonus, bens.

      An opportunity for an experienced Systems Engineer to join a growing and dynamic organisation. Core responsibility of this role within the engineering team is the implementation and support of the company infrastructure services across the systems, storage and virtualisation environments, whether these are on-premise, cloud or hybrid configurations. In-depth expert knowledge of infrastructure design, best-practices and system engineering, operations and management is required to ensure maximum effectiveness and efficiency in the organisations' infrastructure, which includes but is not limited to MS Windows and VMware platforms.

    We would like to see: 6+ years of SME hands-on knowledge in system engineering, design and 3rd line support of Microsoft infrastructure technologies particularly Windows Server, AD and Exchange in a business-critical enterprise environment; 5+ years’ experience with virtualisation technologies including VMware Enterprise platform to deliver Data Centre services; 5+ years of experience in design, implementation and support of enterprise data centres. Strong recent practical experience of data centre migration and transformation projects. Solid experience of managed infrastructure services and cloud based technologies, including integrating cloud computing models e.g. IaaS, PaaS and SaaS to create hybrid architectures. It would be an advantage if you have recent industry systems certifications; Networking / Cisco certifications are desirable as is ITIL.
