Software Development Engineer. £35k - £42k + Bonus.

    An exciting opportunity to join a market leading high-tech company and work in a mixed technology team and environment (software, hardware, electronics etc.) Ideally with 2 to 5 years+ experience you will develop innovative embedded software solutions, meeting technical, business and quality requirements. This job involves working flexibly on potentially multiple projects and will involve direct customer communication at times to capture requirements and resolve issues.

      Key responsibilities will include: software requirements analysis, concept proposals and top-level design, detailed design and coding; software testing, verification and validation; assisting with production and field problem investigation.

    We are looking for experience of hands-on software development in real-time embedded product development applications; C++ Programming; Real Time Operating System (RTOS) knowledge. Some experience  / understanding of the following would be advantageous but is not essential: Software Engineering Principles - Life Cycles, Methodologies (Object Orientated preferred), electronic hardware to software interfacing and microprocessor architectures from a software perspective; software testing methods; design and creation of software test harnesses and automated testing strategies; Software Configuration Management; Win32 API, MFC, .net knowledge. There will be some travel involved with this role.
