Operations Manager / Manufacturing Consultant. £££’s Negotiable.

    We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager / Manufacturing Consultant, to help our client modernise (process, systems and software etc.) and move the factory to the next levels in efficiency and productivity. Ideally we are looking for experience with Bespoke manufacturing (metal / steel / pharmaceutical / food / aviation or similar industries) though we will also be looking at how to ‘standardise’ production. Our client is well established and profitable, small but growing, and wants and needs to progress with relevant systems and tools – they manufacture low-volume products.

    There are some new tools already being implemented but a scheduling system (software) needs to be chosen and put into operation. This will help plan logistics and resources, and facilitate the scheduling of delivery and installation to customers. We will also need to look at how to re-arrange the factory layout, and plan to introduce a second shift to focus on the more standard production items.
