CNC Turner (Fanuc and NT smart -Solid cam) Programmer / setter / operator)        Bucks. £27.50/hr days

Experienced CNC Lathe Programmer, Setter and Operator to work within a growing company.

This precision engineering company based near Aylesbury, specialises in machining complex parts for transmission and drive trains for aerospace, motorsport and advanced technology sectors.

Reports: Section production supervisor.

Responsibilities:

  •                      Set up, program, and operate advanced Multi-tasking CNC lathes (Doosan Fanuc and Nakamura NT smart Doosan Puma, Lynx, Nakamura Sc100X and WY150 Offline SolidCAM - iGuide

 

  •                      Set and manage automation robot loading and bar feed
  •                      Analyse blueprints, strong GTD skills interpreting engineering drawings, and engineering information to determine the best machining processes. (GTD: Get Things Done – A productivity method, which consists of five core workflow steps: Capture, Clarify, Organize, Reflect, and Engage).
  •                      Collaborate with the engineering team to optimise the machining processes and improve efficiency.
  •                      Conduct routine maintenance on the machines to ensure optimal performance.
  •                      Monitor the quality and accuracy of the finished product and make necessary adjustments to the machines and processes as needed.
  •                      Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies and procedures.
  •                      Maintain accurate records of production runs, job setups, and quality control data.
  •                      Responsible for the cleanliness and tidiness of the working area.

Skills:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in setting up, programming, and operating advanced CNC lathes and mills. Advantageous NT smart and Fanuc controls – Big advantage CAM – SolidCAM. materials aviation stainless, Inconel, carbon steel. Good GTD skills.

Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to machining and manufacturing processes.

Comply with all Company policies, procedures, QMWI 5000 series, SOPs, and training requirements.

Hours of work:

Day Shift: Monday-Thursday: 8.00am-16.30pm, Fridays: 8.00am-15.30pm-30-minute unpaid break-39-hour week

Early Shift: Monday-Friday 6.00am-14.15pm- 30-minute unpaid lunch-38.75-hour week

Late Shift: Monday-Thursday 14.00pm-00.15pm, 30-minute unpaid break- 39-hour week

Late shift will receive a x1.2 increase on hourly rate for working weekend shift

Plenty of Overtime with OT rates available.
